through the first 90 minutes, Belgium should have won 8-0....

but thanks to Howard, he carried them through the first 90.....

if that long haired freaky bastard wouldn't have missed that wide open gift in the 87th or 88th minute, the US would be playing Argentina....

in overtime, they allowed a senseless goal - if you don't allow that one goal AND score that equalizer, you're looking at penalty kicks....

the last 17 minutes of that game were brutal...

I'll post some pics from the US game. The atmosphere was great, regardless of the result. Flying home tomorrow!

The US team looks like a joke out there. Without Howard the game would of been blown wide open.

I thought the USA played really well...I was hoping they would win, they certainly put in a massive amount of effort, commitment and heart.
In fact I enjoyed that game more than any of the other games...it was "end to end" stuff played with a proper sporting attitude.

Definitely gutted after the game, but this team has a lot to be proud of. I've been defending Klinsmann to many people. He has the program going in the right direction.

Wondo now has to live through that miss for a long time. The game was over.

Yeah that Wondo miss hurt real bad, especially since that's 100% the reason he was out there, to convert on those opportunities specifically.

I think Belgium was just too good, and the US never recovered from the strategic mess the game plan became when Altidore was lost. On top of that, we have several guys who were just consistently underwhelming, to include Dempsey the last couple games. Cameron is terrible, I have no idea how he's playing in the EPL. Jones had an awful game yesterday all around.... The US needs a guy who can fuck around possessing the ball in the 18-30 area to create opportunities more often, but with the shuffling of positions, that never happened.

It was a good cup run, just wish we could have been 100% for it. Not too stoked about having world cups in the future in worse climactic conditions, but money talks, it is FIFA after all.

you could tell it wasn't even close, even though the score dictated a 2-1 match.....

Belgium dominated every aspect of that game - they passed with precision, they made very few boneheaded plays, they continuously fooled the Americans and got shot after shot after shot on goal....

like Tim Howard said you can only defend so much "until the levee breaks"...

seriously, without Howard having the best game of any goal keeper ever, Belgium could have been up 8 goals to nil.....

Your resident Belgian living in Texas checking in: I was on the edge of my seat, especially the last 30 minutes. My anxiety was so high it gave me a headache.

So who's going to win between France and Germany?? I'm going with Deutschland because that's where our cars come from, and I love the country itself.

The referee is not from Spain but from brazil. Great.

Who'd expected that? Brazil is organising this World Cup . Doh.

Anyways, Go Germany!
+1 For Germany !!!
We are going to need a lot of luck to beat brazil though
