lowering the F01

Hi All,

I'm looking to lower my 2010 750i xdrive and would like to know what's the best option out there. I currently have the M-package on it and don't think i need to change anything, in terms of bodykit. Just lowering it and maybe upgrading the wheel size to 21inch. I have 20' right now. Please send me your thoughts and if you think increasing the wheel size to 21 or 22 inches!!

Thank you all.

Cheers.

Jessen

I don't think it's a good idea to lower any vehicle with X drive. The x drive system is fairly complex and lowering the vehicle may cause serious damage. I also have an X-drive and wanted to lower mine but was advised by several independent shops not to even try.

If you can find a safe way to do it, I would also be interested.

Try the "other" 7 forum.

Several guys with x models and lowering springs.

IMHO, the x drive NEEDS lowering even more. Looks like a 4x4 without it!

thanks guys, i would really like to know if we can even lower the car now, after reading the post by markymarc1979. I have seen many of the cars lowered but i don't know if they were xdrive or not. Would be good to hear from others too.

I want to lower mine, but not until I hear from other members who have safely done so. With the complexity of the x drive system, I won't take any chances in damaging an axle or something of that nature. I know H&R makes a kit for these vehicles, so it probably can be done safely.

I've lowered two sevens including the one you see in my sig. Doubt you can lower the X Drive without skills and proper setup.
