Probably used the same design crew that did the Cadillacs.

If you can get an A4 with the base engine, AWD, sport suspension, *and* a manual, that would be really tempting to me.

I hate how you have to step up to the 335ix to get a manual + AWD in BMW land.

I almost fell asleep looking at these pictures. Flat encephalogram. Boring. Looks more and more like a nicer interior version of the Passat. I know that -is- the case, but it doesn't have to be so obvious.

Even as conservative as it looks, it's still a better looking car than a non-msport F30.

That depends IMO, is the engine still in front of the front axle and does it require removal of the entire front bumper/radiator to change simple alternator belts like A4s of the past? Those are the most significant reasons I passed on an A4/S4/A5.

they do all look the same, but at least they had a change from the last generation.

265lbs lighter 272Hp 6 Cylinder TDI Thanks JamesNoBrakes
However the exterior looks like a simple refresh, they could of did more.

I wonder what the S4 and the RS will bring, add some flared fenders/ aggressive front end.. Wouldn't be bad

/QUOTE]

The RS4 is supposedly a 2017 launch...

Unfortunately it looks like in order to sell the RS saloon / Avant in the States, they are dropping the V8 and both the S4 and RS4 will have the same engine.
The RS4 will it appears, get an extra turbo to around 475bhp.

Obviously pure speculation from motoring press at moment.
Yeah that may not be a bad thing. Audi does know how to build a good turbo.

The RS V8 is great but it never had the power to negate the weight of the RS4 or RS5.

"Quick! Slap 4-rings on this new Passat! We've got to launch a "new" A4!"

Looks like they're certainly taking the Porsche approach to design, eh?

Where is that girl with the heals and the painted on jeans? I want to buy this guy a razor and sign him up for a waxing session after looking at those arms. This is not how you sell the car, show us the girl in heals....

I will buck the trend here by saying I like the exterior and am happy Audi has stuck with conservative styling. I do agree that it is a minor change from the current car. The interior looks like a big evolution, though, and I will be curious to drive a car with Audi's new all-digital instrument panel to see if I like it or it drives me nuts

It is getting closer to trade my F31 and saw the new A4 today. It looks good but it still kind of look like the old one, took some time until I realized it was actually the new one Don't know yet though if this might be my new dd.

so did they do the mercedes's "just glue an ipad/tab to the dash" thing?!

i recently drove the c450 and i LOVED the interior except for the glued on tab like device. it looked so out of place. i was going to drive an s3/4 this weekend just to confirm it's not something on my list.

Yeah - exterior looks like a VW. Too boring.

Interior is outstanding.
