Garage List
2014 BMW 220i  [10.00]
I always start laughing every time I follow my friends' CLA45 at night...my headlights just perfectly illuminate the inside of the tailpipes, clearly showing the two tiny thin real exhaust tips...

To be honest, CLA45 is not a bad choice. Could've been worse..

EDIT : Looked closer and saw that the actual tips on the VW are non functional. Still, these aren't the most legitimate looking things, are they?
IMO, this is just looking for flaws in a car. These are real exhaust outlets, rather simply have the trapezoidal tips for design purpose. You'll find many, many cars do the same; Lamborghini Murcielago Super Veloce, just to name one from the top of my head that I've recently seen. Nothing new, and IMO nothing to bash them for.

Yeah, Lamborghini's been doing this for a while. The Mercialagos and Merc SV's had 4 mini tailpipes inside of the large center one.

Really though who cares. Functional smunctional. Theres a difference between a fake hood scoop and these exhaust outlets. These actually do vent exhaust fumes.

I think the car does look better with these, on a stock car this is an improvement for what would otherwise be a skinny exhaust pipe peaking out from the bottom. From a design point of view I like it, Maclaren does the same thing.

Yes, I agree 100%. They'd look ugly otherwise. Non-functional hood scoops can be left out with no issues, but not skinny exhaust pipes. Similar to the way the 335i guys change their stock tips to the 3.5 or 4-inch tips; simply looks better, and I agree with doing so
