Exclamation G12 TPMS Malfunction

Randomly got this error code that there's a malfunction, and did what any normal person would do, and reset it... 5 times.

After it hits about 50%, the chime goes off and code pops up so, i'm sure something is damaged.

Anyone ever replace one before, or have any part numbers of some reputable TPMS carriers? Would be much appreciated!

Have you stopped by a local Discount Tire/America’s Tire (same company different name depending on what part of the country you live) to see if they will check each sensor to see if their battery is still functioning? They (or any major tire chain) will probably check the viability of the sensors for free if they think they may be able to sell you new ones. Plus the last tire chains sell oe as well as aftermarket sensors that are compatible.

It’s easy/simple to find the correct TPM sensors…just use one of the online part database sites like www.realoem.com…enter the last 7 digits of your VIN then go to the WHEEL diagrams where you can select your BMW wheel style # (or any G11/G12 wheel) and get the correct 11 digit BMW part number for the TPM sensor.

Once you have the correct 11 digit BMW part number…simply type/paste that number into a google search box (ie type BMW XX XX X XXX XXX {where x=actual BMW part number). This should give you results of hundreds of vendors/dealers that sell the correct part number…and it will also give you the correct aftermarket sensors that are compatible.

Here’s some info about the TPMS system…the former RDC (control module) function has now been incorporated into the DSC module (beginning with the production of the 2014 f15 X5)…and the data sent from each wheel sensor is now sent to the remote control receiver…which then sends the wheel data to the DSC module.

Did you actually check the tire presures physically? Pressure adaptation will not carry out if any tire is at 1.6 bar or below, or if there is a difference of 0.4 bar on same axle.
