If I could get an RS6 Avant stateside I'd get one in a second and drive it until the wheels fell off. Talk about a perfect high performance very versatile car. If I had to have one car and one car only, this would be it.

It's cheaper to buy a brand new F80 (with a warranty) and a beater 4Runner than it is to try to build an F81

incorrect, Lexus copies Audi in design

RS6 looks better in AY than M3/4
Watch it - them is fightin' words!! J/k - I think both look great in that color!!!

Proper "grown up" type of car that you can have lots of fun in.
Like Top Gear guys said while ago "perfect wagon for those days when you just must take your family to the track with you"

Audi RS6 is one hot station wagon.

I saw two of these badass estates (one in Sepang Blue and one in Glacier White)

Really hot

P.S.
Question though:

Who owns the patent and rights and intellectual property for the color "Austin Yellow"?

My guess is that it's a BMW color (since they first introduced it in the M3/M4).............but does BMW really own the color and were they the original makers of it?

If yes, does Audi have to pay BMW whenever they use this color in their car?

Unless for instance Audi owned the rights to the name "Iomola Yellow" and BMW wanted to use that same name in marketing materials.

With the exception of the E63 we don't get any of the sexy wagons. No RS6, no M5, etc. I will say I don't think the logic of "Americans don't like wagons" really applies in this segment. By that I mean, if you are going to spend north of $100K on a wagon, you're not the typical American. I think most enthusiasts who would even be interested in this sort of thing would prefer the wagon vs an SUV.

They have to meet all legal requirements like reflectors on us cars and the hook to open the trunk from the inside and the list just keeps going on and on.

I think the rules relax quite a bit once the car in question is 20 years old (maybe less I don't remember) and can be classified as a classic car. So in 2036 I'll be driving an rs6 avant!

Well, BMW had Imola Red long before Audi used the Italian F1 track's name for their Yellow. I'd imagine Kia could use Imola Purple if they really wanted to.

BMW M has a long history of using F1 track names for M specific colors, including Austin and Yas Marina. Since BMW races F1, that makes a certain amount of sense. Audi, not so much...
