Key readers ARE they REALLY accurate with time and date, oil change ect...Help!!

Just wanted to know how accurate the key and key readers r at the dealer ship is...Thanx!!

I think every time you use the key it is updated. I just brought my car in today to get the recall work done and the paperwork had the miles that I drove in with. When the key is read, it also stores any error messages that come up. I had a seat belt malfunction warning that came on and it was gone the same day. The SA reminded me about the error and they will look at at.
