They just told me to send the stuff back to them and they will give me a refund. I just decided to keep them. The dash doesn't occur all the time, I just learned to live with it.

Perhaps coding might work. I might look at Alpine HID, but wondering if it'll get too hot.

Looks like Mtec has a model made specially made for the 2012 F01/F02. Anyone tried it?

Thanks, I might pull the trigger on that once I read more. Haven't seen any 7s using it, but the design seems similar to LUX.

I'm going to be a guinea pig for the mTEC V2 (18w), on my 2012 750Li. They plan to ship me a kit to test within 2 weeks. I'll post pics and review if all goes well.

As far as the error codes, if done by a professional, there are none. I have zero codes on my baby and there is a ton of electrical mods that was done on the car. And as far as angel eyes, it was a big project of modifying the headlight but it was worth every penny as it is one of a kind and the only thing that makes it look LCI and IMO even better and more crisp.
Where did you get your angel eye kit and what name brand ? They look good !

This was a custom made HID kit by a user on the M3POST named camaross.

Actually the kit has failed on me and I'm in the process of replacing it with another one.

I'll review the mTEC V2 in a couple weeks. I got a 2012 750Li, so if it doesn't throw an error on mine, it'll work for yours as well.

Hey Mark, does your DRL turns off when the error comes on? After 30min, LEDs heatsink gets really hot and shut itself off (which throws an error). Once it's cooled, the error goes away.

Let me know if that's the case for you.

I never paid attention to see if they turn off or not. The warning usually happens when I turn the car on for the first time, then it will remain on my dash. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. I thinking about switching to a custom HID kit similar to the one you see in the pics of my M3.

I’m sorry if this has been discussed before, but the new standard (non-LED) 2013 headlamps look similar in design to the 2009-2012 headlamps. Is there any way that putting the 2013 bulbs in a 2009-2012 headlamp would reproduce the 2013’s bright white / blue corona rings?

No, it will not work. The new rings are powered by LED modules, which will not transfer to rings powered by H8 bulbs.

It will fit, but it's not worth paying over $2k for headlights with LED angel eyes. Here's my 2012 F02 with mTEC V2 LED angel eyes, I got them from mTEC Lighting USA. $220USD for mTEC or $2,000USD+ for LCI headlights, your choice.
