Question - help?!?

I have a 2008 750i that's developed an oil leak.
After going through the motor, it appears the oil is slowly leaking out/beside of a large bolt (it almost looks like a drain plug with a crush type washer?) that sits below the AC compressor on the passenger front/side of the engine block (it's just below and behind the electrical connection that snaps into the compressor).
Anyone have any idea what this bolt is for and if it could be the cause of the slow oil leak?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
