I'm NOT looking for a full sports car, I'm looking for high performance and luxury. I really like Alpina, but they are damn expensive. Maybe the 760 or 750. Oh and today I'm going to test drive the 730d (about 250hp) and in friday the M5 so we'll see. But I have to say that I like 7 more than M5.

Are you looking at new? Every model Alpina, 760, 750, 730 DIESEL, and M5, all have VERY different personalities/characteristics and prices for sure

If you aren't up for a new Alpina, you certainly won't be up for the MORE expensive 760 (NOT the case when pre-owned, as the depreciation is ridiculously HIGH).

Wish we could get the Diesel 7 Series here in the states, especially the "TRIPLE TURBO" Diesel!!!

I'm looking at 740d (bi turbo diesel) or 750d (tri turbo d.) I test drove the 730d and it was fast enough. I think that triple turbo d. Is like 740i but TORQUE on that thing is just fantastic.
And I agree with you - every model has his own chatacter and price.

Beautiful car! Gorgeous interior. I agree though, the 20" wheels are a must!

Why are they different from the LED's on the rest of the BMW range, meaning why do they look so bulky?

I think the 7 got the LED relatively early.
