Leaked: 2010 Alpina B7 Bi-turbo image

Name: b7.jpg
Views: 14101
Size: 409.6 KB

The 2009 BMW Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo will join the B6 GT3 race car on the stand in Geneva, and thanks to AutoZeitung, we've got a singular photo and some preliminary specs on the uber-sedan from Alpina.

The B7 Bi-Turbo is essentially the M7 BMW forgot to build, packing a twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8 putting out 507 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Alpina claims the B7 can run to 60 in 4.7 seconds and on to an electronically-limited 173 mph. We'll have more details from the Geneva Motor Show next week, but expect a host of upgrades to join the engine mods, including uprated brakes, suspension components and a reworked interior to compliment the B7's new body kit.

I love it. Let's hope they put in an LSD in that thing. But only 507hp? For something of that size, I would say at least put in 570hp.

True, 507 doesn't sound too fascinating, but 516 torque to compliment it is amazing!

I was expecting more power....besides that the car looks great....
M5 and M6 ,two same engines have 507....now the 4.4 has 507....again u can get more power than that , at least 570....however if thats true the Alpina B7 is still some 100hp short of S65 AMG......WOW...that sucks

Well, at first that thing looks beautiful.

Second, I wouldn't compare it to the S65. Smaller engine, 4 cylinders less. Of course it has less power. But I guess it'll be much sportier than a S65. Compare it to a S63. Both V8 (okay not both naturally aspirated), but nearlly the same hp (you won't feel the 10hp missing) but the Alpian has way more torque! And that counts in heavyweight class.

well I didnt say it doesnt.....look great

and second....it could match S63 if not even better.....well see....

and third.....why isnt there an Alpina B7 with over 600hp?? and torque like AMG?.....and the answer ladies is because we still dont have a 760i.....when that happens Alpina will have an S65 Killer...V12 vs V12......B7 R vs S65 , B7 vs S63 and 760 vs S600....

i dont think they would because there is very little demand for those sport luxry sedans like the S65, its better to just focus on things that would compete with the S63 and S8 and who ever else

how much will the b7 cost anyway?

a need for showing off....like who needs Q7 V12 Diesel..?.... nothing special about it except for huge power and huge torque..there will always be someone who will buy it...just like the S65.....and 760 and Alpina and S8 on and on

WOW, Looks very nice!

I'm not so sure on the mod Alpina did to the bottom front. From the image above, it appears to extends past the fenders in front of the tires. Wonder how long that stays on until it gets ripped off by a curb or something else ...

I find it highly amusing that those people that complain that the 750, 760 or Alpina versions (or any other BMW model for that fact) don't have 'MORE' hp, 'MORE' torque, don't have 'MORE... MORE... MORE' because such and such car has this or that much MORE... you get the point, those same people never seem to buy these kind of cars anyway, so why are they complaining ???

I'm not trying to offend anybody (and if you feel that I offended you, please accept my apology) and I'm also not trying to steer anything up, it's an observation I made in a couple of threads here and I just find it interesting, that's all
