the S class might be a super luxury car, but I would still not buy it even if it was half the price of a 7er...the design is just... |

In terms of timeframes, after your car is slotted a build date, it takes about a week for your car to actually get built. My car has now been built and has been at the European port for the past week (see status picture). Next step is for it to be loaded on a ship which takes 10-14 days to travel across the ocean. Once it arrives in the states, it takes another 7-14 days to make it from the US port to your dealership. All said, expect about 6 weeks.
As we talked about earlier, the picture on the build update screens isn't always accurate. I attached a picture of the actual car I ordered... Alan Last edited by nextceo; 10-14-2015 at 04:12 PM.. |

So, it looks like I'm going to switch my order to the 'Individual' (vs. waiting for my delayed car sometime in December). Dealer said I can pick up next week.

Thanks for sharing those pictures...the color combo looks Great! I also like the better looking leather that comes on the Individual. When you have a chance could you post a picture of the Window Sticker? I was wondering what the Individual models price at since you cant find that information on the BMW website.
Thanks! |

Also, it appears if you goto cars.com, the Manufacture has a special on the 2016 - 7 Series...1.9% for 36 months or $2000 Bonus Cash. Make sure you ask about that...I would take the cash and get your loan thru Bank of America who is at 2.40% for up to 72 months right now...

My 7 Series just left South Hampton, UK and is now headed to Baltimore with an arrival date of Nov 2nd...man those ships move slow. The ship started in Antwerp. If you order a car, BMW of North American will give you the name of ship its on...the name of my ship is Honor. From there if you goto marinetraffic.com, you can track the ship.

Ordered mine but still waiting for a production date and wondering between ext colours as well as the interior... At least, I have decided I don't want the M pack and went for the more classy-luxurious look.
Thinking between sophisto grey and arctic. Have not seen the arctic in person but saw the sophisto grey at my dealer with the pure excellence design and liked it. Wonder if the arctic is darker. From the configurator looks like a darker colour with more blue in it. As for the interior - Nappa Canberra Beige with Dark coffee dash or the Cognac. Also Zagora seems like a good idea but hard to decide since I have not seen them in person on the Cognac in the X6 but like the idea of the dark brown dash with the light interior of the Canberra 730d xdrive Sport auto Soft Close Sport steering wheel Leather dash Ext pure excellence Laser lights LED fog lights Gesture control Climate comfort glass all around - have to ask the dealer if the back windows will be tinted since both options cant be together Sunblind rear windscreen Heated, ventilated seats Remote parking might remove it together with the surround view and park assist Display key head up and navi standard which is good.

Make sure you choose the int/ext wisely... Gery goes better with darker brown (with grey undertone)...there will be a Mocha brown coming soon on 7-er. That IMO is the one that goes with Grey as it's got grey undertone...Saddle (has red undertone) or cognac don't match well with grey IMO. I did see one on an X6 with Space Grey...not good IMO/ Also a contrast is nice, with darker exterior, a lighter interior and VV. Dark Brown ext/ beige or Ivory Int Dark Blue (Imperial)/ dark brown or grey Int (if available) Silver Ext/ with brown Int or dark grey (if available) These are typical classy combos IMO that will do justice to a 7-er...luxury. Never a white or black Ext IMO on this car. |

I was told I could get 5K off as soon as the cars were called back from the port due to a software issue... I picked up my 2016 M6CP Vert last week so this is probably a factor as to the discount.
