BMW Fuse Box Repair Wiring?

Does anyone know if its possible to enable an unused fuse socket in the passenger fuse box?

I've done this on VWs, you locate a live, but unwired socket and install the wiring at the rear of the fuse socket using a repair wire kit.

Here's a an example of what I mean:

Cheers.

I don't know if it's possible, but I'm curious to know what the extra circuit would be for?
