740 oil change interval?
whats the oil change interval on the 740?
my car's computer says its every two years....????? i drive it for only 2500-3000 miles a year. my benz computes both time and mileage, so if i dont reach a certain mileage, the benz will want to change its oil once a year. |

The iDrive system does the same. It's either based on mileage or time whatever comes first. The iDrive system will tell you what's due at what time under the service menu.

It's something crazy like 15K miles, although people recommend having it changed much more frequently. Frankly, I've always followed the service indicator on my previous BMWs and have never had a problem.

So what's the time interval displayed on your cars? Is it xx miles or 2 years? Or xx miles or 1 year?
Just wondering since my Benz and Mini displays xx miles or 1 year while my BMW is xx miles and 2 years. |
