2017 750i M Sport w/ Standard Wheels??? (Style 630)

Hi All,

After test driving the 750i xdrive, I instantly fell in love with it and think it would be a great replacement to my S550.

The dealer did not have the colors I wanted, which were either Carbon Black or Singapore Gray. He found a Singapore Gray that he could swap with another dealer, which I agreed to and left a deposit on. It is coming next Tuesday hopefully.

Problem is, I just got the VIN # and upon researching a bit (via a VIN decoder) it appears that my car has 19" style 630 wheels which are the standard 750i wheels. They are not M style wheels, which I feel throw off the look of the car. The wheels are already in motion, I do not think I can cancel the transaction so I am really not sure what to do at this point.

I am not upset, or second guessing my choice. I am just curious why BMW would put standard 750i wheels on an M Package car. If I were to configure a new car on their website, those wheels are not even a possible option as it would delete the M package.

I also wanted to know if the M Pack includes a sport exhaust? Or same as the standard car? It is a bit confusing, as some people on the forum say the exhaust is louder (which I want!)

If you got the M-sport Package, it will most definitely come with either one of the two M-sport wheels (either 19" or 20"). M-sport does not come with standard 630 wheels.

Also, the M Sport wheels (style 647M and 648M) are the lightest wheels available for the 7 with the exception of the Alpina forged wheels. The 20 inch M wheel on the 760i is however heavy.

I have seen several M Sport 750is with the 630 wheels online, and in fact saw one on the street today in Singapore Gray! The color is beautiful, but I think the car would look 10x better with the slight gunmetal color of the 19" M wheels.

I am just a bit bummed, but somehow hoping the VIN decoder is incorrect. However I looked at a couple of VINs on ebay, and they say the correct wheel style #
