I presume BMW is keeping track of its closest competitor (e.g. the MB S65 AMG) so I wonder if BMW is planning for:
-Carbon Ceramic Brakes
-Black Full Merino Leather (similar to what F10 M5 has)
No to either.

In the BMW Germany configurator:
When selecting M760Li XDRIVE, it asks you if you want:
-Automatic
or
-Sport Automatic

http://www.bmw.de/vc/ncc/xhtml/start...5#MODEL_ENGINE

Huh?

I thought all G11/G12 use one single type of gearbox which is 8-speed ZF automatic transmission (?)

In the UK config machine you only get one option, the sport auto. Funny how all the countries are just a little bit different

I see

And to be honest, I'm not exactly sure what's the exact difference between the two..........

Does the Sport one shift faster than the non-sport one? (in 'D' or full auto mode)

The video would have been only 60 seconds if he didn't have to say BMW 760Li X-Drive 42 times.

That´s the worst presenter i have ever seen, and that is with the flagship, not impressed.
And besides the V12, i´m not impressed with this flagship either, the X7 should be a lot more interesting and special. Throwing a few V12 badges around isn't very premium, i´d rather have the B7 from Alpina, it looks like a better and more rounded package.

Do echo the same sentiments of shoving this into a mid-engine supercar. BMW's mid-engine super car. Imagine the V12 on the i8.....

This thing is a full fledged, no joke rocket sled running 11.7 @ 123 through the quarter, hitting 100 in less than 8s. Don't let the 5100 lb mound of mass fool you.

I want it tuned for 800 - 900 hp... Still it's fast enough so it'll do

By the way this is my favourite video on the car. Drives it properly

Took delivery of my 2018 M760 last October. Only drove it about 700 miles then put it away until about 2 weeks ago. I have owned BMW's in the past however it has been more than 20 years. The one thing that always bothered me is the excessive amounts of brake dust the rims collect in a very short period of time. I was thinking of replacing the OEM pads with carbon/ceramic pads to help reduce the amount of dust. Any suggestions or recommendations?

True they do gather a lot. My front got caked with brake dust.

Could try some of the coating you can get on your wheels to try and minimise it or at least make it far easier to wash off?
