Premature Driver’s Seat Bolster Wear / Cracking!?

Please note the attached photos of my driver's seat, which show that the left bolster is wearing / cracking at 23k miles. I have the BMW Individual interior in Amaro Brown. The rest of the seat looks fine. The car is nearly two and a half years old and I'm concerned what this may look like going forward.

Any insight as to warranty coverage? If so, what's the best way of going about replacement?

Very disappointed.

I had a similar problem but it was on the upper right shoulder area, I had it remedied by taking it to a reputable upholster.
and no it will not be covered by warranty, leather isnt covered.
unless you have an SA willing to go the extra mile for you to get it fixed but other than that it will not be covered. :/

Edit: Also, how often do you treat the leather? I do mine every 6mos with cleaning every now and then to keep it looking like new and it works.
a little tlc goes a long way lol

Thanks for the insight. I don't treat the leather. Strange this is the only area affected. We also have an older Mercedes where it's leather just recently started to show age (in about the last 5 years), but we also have a Range Rover and Lexus that are both at least double the age of the BMW with at least 100k miles on each, which have no leather deterioration. I understand this on a 15+ year old car, but not on a 2+ year old car...

I have some wear as well, it's the issue with real leather seats. That's one reason why I loved leatherette, leatherette never really wears and still looks new after years of driving.

This looks like normal wear and tear to me. This the result of constantly sitting and moving around on the seat.

Try conditioning your seats once a month. I use a product called zaino Z10 leather conditioner.

Works amazing!

This is not covered under warranty, it's normal wear and tear. I use BMW leather conditioner twice a year. I don't use non-BMW leather conditioner b/c some may not work well with the dye BMW uses (risk of staining).

Leather is like your skin (cow hide). They will dry up throughout the season and crack, if you don't lotion it. BMW leather conditioner feels like lotion. It's never too late to treat it.
