We have just posted the official release information for the 2013 7 Series LCI (facelift). And to give you an idea of what the facelift changes on the 7 Series, we've compiled a set of comparison photos between the LCI 7 series and pre-LCI 7 series. The list of cosmetic changes as follows:

Facelift Features
  • Larger grille chrome surround
  • Nine grille slats (down from original 12 slats)
  • Large, full-width air intake in revised front apron (now split into three sections)
  • New air curtain vents
  • Pair of chrome bars in revised front apron
  • LED corona "angel" light rings
  • LED turn signal indicators in headlight (8 LED units on each side)
  • New 'eyelash' light strip at top of headlights
  • Squared corona rings for LED headlights
  • Side mirrors with integrated turn signals
  • Rear tailights now feature more contrast with differing shades of red
  • Second chrome strip in rear apron (and another slim chrome bar between four chromed tailpipe tips for 760Li)
  • Newly designed, more slender front seats
  • Individual rear comfort seats (standard on 760Li and optional on other models) - individually adjustable backrest angle, seat position, and head restraints
  • Optional Rear Seat Entertainment Package now includes iDrive controller and two 9.2" screens
  • Enhanced interior soundproofing
  • New interior ambient lighting (adjustable color - footwell and B-pillar lights)

Cool WOW

I can't believe BMW is changing their legendary Angel Eyes. But I knew that if they were gonna change it, they were gonna make it like on the DTM car and honestly... it looks sick! Well done BMW!

The Pre-LCI looks better. Except for the headlights I do like those. It kind of reminds me of the E60's turn signals (which is a good thing imo).

Nice, but the new s class is going to murder it until the next body chassis.

The front end of the pre-LCI looks better.... and the fender turn signal. Otherwise, LCI is better.

love the squared corona ring LED headlights with the eye lash. The LCI look is cleaner with the nine grille slates rather then the twelve grille slats [didn't think it would, but it does] like always the LCI looks better then the pre-LCI....

I see Chrystler 200 face (delete kidney grill) on the LCI. The lights general shape and swollen forehead leaks of Chrystler cars.

Where are the turn signals in the new led headlights? Also, I LOVE squared off angel eyes!

It looks like they are above the head lights, very classy looking light design. Love the entire LCI design, Bravo BMW.

The front is beautiful but the rear is kind of weak.

Looks good, keeps the 7er pretty modern. I guess no touchpad iDrive until the next-gen X5?

7er always looks better on the road than in pictures anyways.

Pre-Lci looks so much more agressive and masculine up front. This one of the few BMW lci's that went from better to worse.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that both versions of the 7 Series look sleepy, especially LCI? The headlamps on both look kind of like it has droopy eyelids and it's struggling to stay awake, pre-LCI because of that huge lip on top and especially LCI because it's like eyelids closing from the top and bottom.

Current 7 series Owners have nothing to worry about. Don't like the thick square angels.

personally hate the new design language - the front is so slopped towards the ground

F30 and now F10

there might be a slight increase due to a tiny decrease in drag in economy but the car loses any presence whatsoever. From far it looks so small and tiny. unacceptable for a large car
