Congrats, that's a sharp car and I love the color combo too
I like nothing but black leather upholstery as well as anthracite headliner
Happy Driving

Yes, the lip spoiler will help a ton!

Congrats on the 750 for your dad. What was his reaction/thoughts?

Any idea on where I can find one? Does BMW make one or I can find an aftermarket one online?

He was quite speechless actually lol. The whole time he's making fun of the gesture controls (old fashioned of course) and kept asking me to call him so he can hang up by swiping in front of the screen haha.

He really, really loves the car!

All that's left is the trunk lip and some all around ceramic tint.

(btw - i turned 50 last month myself and bought an 18 750 as well (imperial blue and cognac nappa). im usually an s-class guy but decided to change it up a bit. ive only got 150m on so far but im loving it.)

It will need to be painted, but hope this helps:

Happy belated Birthday!

It's so rewarding to finally give back to someone that's given everything your whole life. Yet somehow, all the cars in the world won't be enough for what a father does for his kid(s). Your father sounds like a true gentleman and you sound like the best son he can ask for. This room is getting so emotional!

And man, gorgeous color combo!! If I were to order a car in my 50's, that's the combo I'd get.

Would you ever go back to an S-Class? Everyone on this board is watching you no pressure

Prefer it non-painted anyway. These dealers take it to local shops around them so might as well spend less and probably even get a better quality finish.

Thank you for the link!

EDIT: I searched the part# and found somewhere a little cheaper: https://www.genuinenewparts.com/oem-...caAmNGEALw_wcB

Being located in SoCal, the link you sent charged me $44 in shipping vs this site is $13. So incase anyone else is looking for one, this site saved me ~$43. Hope this helps!

haha. nice! you know - i might go back to the s-class when benzo rolls out the 223 chassis (not for 3 more years or so). i had a 2015 (222 chassis) s550, and it was a great car. cant say enough good things about it. everything worked. loved it. but boring. plus benzo's colour palette is so limiting that they don't offer a saddle interiour colour (like the cognac i got in the 7) unless you go the way of the coupe. and i need four doors at this time in my life. so for now let's just leave it at "we'll see!" besides - i *just* got the 7!

Every car has it's pros and cons. I can admit both are a bit boring lol speaking as a 24 year old, anything without 3 pedals is considered boring in my book, just sayin'

Of course my day will come that I'll need to mature to a large luxury sedan so I'm just speaking a little selfishly lol.

Bottom line, can't go wrong with any proper German engineered car. Good thing about true car enthusiasts are that we appreciate ALL cars. Except for Prius', those are just cancer.

May the 7 serve you well good sir. Cheers

Thank you good sir I really appreciate that. Likewise to you too

Well it'll last 3 years since it's a lease haha. But I hear ya brotha, much appreciate the thought. It's difficult when you're in car culture, adrenaline sneaks up behind you and quick!

It's ironic you mention this, since, well, I got this big beautiful golden paper to join my collection yesterday. It's always those biker cops I tell ya. He caught me on a laser gun so until my detector found him, it was too late. He was nice enough to bring up the speed limit so I can take traffic school at least. I tried the "c'mon officer we both drive BMW's!" line but he just looked at me "hahahah... sign here." Nevertheless, good officer though we had a nice conversation. And just for the record, it was an open road! So I'm not all that immature okay haha.

Maybe I just need a wife and kids to really get life to slap me in the face once and for all LOL.

Thanks again brother. Be safe everyone and don't go 15mph over speed limit!

Incorrect. I have a 740i on order and adaptive LED headlights are among the standard features listed on my build sheet...not a separate selectable option like it is on some other models. The only thing not available in the United States is the Laser headlights.

You have 7AL Adaptive LED or 552 FULL Icon Adaptive LED?

Considering a 530 can be ordered with 552, it is strange that it is not an option on the 740; I agree.

See order guide.

Thanks for posting this! I hadn't caught that the 740i has the ZAL item ("Adaptive LED Headlights") but the 750i has the 552 item ("Adaptive Full LED Lights"). The 552 item is also known as "Icon" LED lights where the high and low beams have separate reflectors. I am truly not sure what the difference is in practice, but pages 5 and 6 on the following document show it in detail...if you or anyone else understands this I'd sure love to understand it better myself...our salesman said everything was the same on 740i and 750i except of course for the engine, which appears to not be true.

Basically, only 552 are capable of NGHB.

Is NGHB turned off by default in the US? If so, is it codable on G12? If my memory is right I had the European non glare coded on my F10 but the G12 coding was unknown last year when I got my car.

Correct, VLD & NGHB are decoded in the US. Unlike the F010, G12/G30 with 552 ICON LED are capable of coding for full function. There is no public guide, but I have done on multiple cars.
