2014 750i oil pan gasket leaking oil
Hi, I have a 2014 750i with 37K miles. During yesterday's service, the dealer found oil leak in upper oil pan gasket and they replaced both upper and lower oil pan gaskets. I have 3 months to end the lease. I was considering purchase the car because I am the original owner. Now, with the oil leaking, do I need to reconsider the purchase of the car?
Also, I asked the dealer to check the front break pads because the service screen says to replace it in 3000 miles. They told me the break pads are at 10mm (after 37K miles) and they reset the main light through the CBS w/o changing the break pads. |

Gaskets deteriorate and leak all the time, its nothing to worry about. If that is the extent of the problems you've had with the car I'd say its a damn solid example. Wouldn't let it discourage me from buying it.
