All ambient and interior lighting sporadically works

So I have a really odd problem, sometimes all the interior lights, ambient lighting, puddle lights etc work. Sometimes they just don't switch on at all when either unlocking the car or pressing the centre light button on the roof. Same if I try the rear centre light button in the roof.

When they are lit after a while occasionally they will flicker and turn off and that is the sign that they won't then turn back on afterwards.

Additionally none of the reading lights in the roof work and I've checked all the lighting fuses and there doesn't appear to be a problem with any of them.

Could this be the lighting panel in the roof as the primary problem? Really not sure where to start!
