2012 7 Series facelift spied

Facelifted 7-Series will feature a new set of headlights including an LED strip indicator

The 7-Series is already three years old and BMW is working on a facelift for the 2012 model which we've spied here.

This is one of the first prototypes of the new 7er that's been spotted and we can see that BMW is working on a new set of lights since the headlamps here are taped over. We expect the lights to be similar to the ones seen on current next-generation 1-Series and 3-Series prototypes. But we can still spot the new LED strip indicator lights in the headlamps.

But even a facelifted 7-Series won't be able to rest easy in a segment where Mercedes-Benz will be introducing a next-generation S-Class in 2013.
