Dome light bulb replacement

how do you open the dome/reading lights to replace the bulbs. Seems like there must be some sort of procedure for this as oppose to just prying it open.

you have to pull the cover on bottom off first, then there is 2 torx screws you drop the entire dome down. i changed out all my lights to LED's (actually entire interior is all LED, even vanity lights), looks sick..

Thanks. Yeah, I went to autozone to buy a torx screwdriver set. I think it is t10. These BMW engineers make it certain way of taking things apart and I wanted to do it the right way.

what about the rear?

How do you replace the rear dome lights? I got the cover off but can't get the reading lights out.

Nevermind... figured it out.

Dang it, I went looking after reading this and one of my lights in the back seat vanity mirror is burnt out. Does anyone know what kind of light it takes? I don't care enough to get someone else to change a light bulb when I'm sure I can easily just do it myself.

I replaced mine with a T10/194 LED.
