dude dont get me wrong i love the MUSTANGS always wanted one but i just cant see myself in one with that interior... not saying interior LOOKS SUCKS its just the pieces they put its FREAKIN PLACTIC I MEAN SERIOUSLY gaps are all over... door panels are seems like its falling off... i moved some interior panels and DAMN it moves that it seems like there is an inch of gap and so hollow. WTF... try that on the BMW... i understand the price difference but see why ford is just not selling?

BRO no one will argue with you on how faster is mustang compare to BMW M's well current M's that is... thats what AMERICAN CARS IS MADE OF... fast a lot of HP and a lot of TORQUE... THATS it... BUT ever since they have not made it any better it seems like FORD WILL BE FORD... also 1/3? of the price... the last time i check ... cobra was selling around 60+ the laguna was 50+ ... so if you compare this to the current M3 i dont see much of the difference...

Im going to tell you a story....

I was standing by the ford mustang couple years ago at LA AUTO SHOW... i was with my friend and I said... (joking) I would never drive a FIX OR REPAIR DAILY CAR... or FOUND ON THE ROAD DEAD... People around me was cracking up they know i was joking around... THEN... one guy came up and said "what can i do to convince you to buy one" (i was like WHO IS THIS GUY...in my head) then i started telling him all the flaws... then he gave me hes business card.... until now shit is still the same... apparently he was the VP of something.. but i never did....

I don't know how anyone who owns an E90/92 or 1 Series can complain about interior. I honestly think BMW has one of the most spartan and cheap looking interiors of any of the german luxury brands.

My first response was to say "650hp/600lbs, 200mph for 50k and you're complaining about the interior?" Then I took another look at the interior.

My response is now "650hp/600lbs, 200mph for 50k and you're complaining about the interior?" I do agree that the interior could be better, but the next car up on the price list (with similar power specs) is the ZR1 which cost 2x times the price.

2 questions;

1. What will the price be of this new model?
2. Even though it has stunning HP/TQ numbers; is it as quick/good as the lightweight Z06?

1. Not sure
2. Hell no. The Z06 still weighs about 700-800lbs less, is lower, and wider. The only potential area for a better driving experience on the GT500's part would be a more fun and manageable transition between oversteer/understeer at the limit. Not saying that's the case, but that would be the one area I'd take a guess seeing as the Z06 is reportedly twitchy at the limit.

Plastic interior? My 2011 Z4is interior is all plastic at it was $70k. It's a ground pounding sledgehammer muscle car. It will never be a prissy prom queen snob mobile.

Can anyone name any other 200mph production car that is under $60k?

My Ford F450 doesn't have one rattle with 26,000 miles on the clock (even with it's cheap plastic interior).....my 2011 M3 has had interior rattles since the day I drove it off the lot. Glad it has a good stereo and is fun to drive.....

Gee, an engine with visible real metal valve covers and a real dipstick, imagine that. Talk about plastic...

I had a 2006 GT vert with all of the options once. It had leather seating SURFACES and on the front seats only. Back seats, rears of fronts and headrests were all vinyl. What little leather was there must have been rhinoceros hide it was so tough. The seats weren't that comfortable to begin with. The dash was plastic, as were the cheap chrome gauge rings and center console and all buttons, etc. This was a loaded model and it was the worst interior I have owned both in material quality and functionability.

And I was SOOOOOO not giving a shit. Headers + exhaust + top down was the muscle car experience and the interior never affected it. It was for fun driving, not comfy driving (the torsion bar and suspension had done away with comfort anyway).

Speaking of headers, the ones on this engine look tiny for the power. I wonder how much more a header swap would make?

You just described the interior on my $70k Z4. I would have had to pay extra $$ for the "extended leather" to get more than the seat surface in leather.

you will have serious traction issue with this car everywhere. i think the hp/tq number is more for show than go. more like a bragging right car than anything.

love the look and the sexy seat. but why don't they just get rid of that stupid antenna. that's so 80' in my opinion and cheapen the overall look of the car.
