So.. anyone driven the 760 in the real world?

I am not sure whether 760i is woth the premium over 750i..
I wouldnt mind hearing comments from people who have had the chance to actually drive the 760.
Personally I do not think performance is gonna be dramatically better than 750i but I have a serious problem with dreadful sound of the 750i (because of the bloody turbos)!! On the other hand, mpg of 760i would be pretty much the same as 750i I assume.
How does this new v12 from 760 sound anyway?

That works...

There is one 760 in my city. An old lady drives it. The amazing part is she is driving the most expensive, technologically advanced BMW, and still holds her mobile phone. Bluetooth isn't set up!

If X Drive was in the 760, I'd have one. X Drive trumps 0-60 for me.

BMW was quoted in a German car magazine stating that if there was enough interest in a xDrive 760, they would consider releasing a 760 xDrive version.

If they'd release a 760Li xDrive, I'd definitely be back at my dealer

Hi!

I've driven booth the 760li and the 750lil. The performance of the 760 compared to the 750 is actually quite stagaring. The 750 is fast, but the V8 is not very refined. The 760 is booth fast and riffined, its not about where you go but how you get there. For example the 760 has the 8-speed its makes cruizing very quite, at 60-70 km/h it will be at 1300 to 1400 rmp.

I have to dissapoint you on the sound, the 760 doesn't have a great sound either.

So buy a 760 when you are convined by the concept, because you pay about a 25k euro premium for the enigine alone.

the 760 hauls... enough said... i drove it for about 5 minutes and I was VERY impressed, I have had a 335 w software and now a 135 with tune and the torque in the 60 still took my breathe away.... very smooth yet powerful car. I have the only Citrine black metallic 760 in the country if anyone wants it =)
