When are the 2010 7's going to be released from port?

Hi there,

I am impatiently waiting for my 2010 750Li xdrive to be released from the new york port but BMW will not give us an idea of when to expect the cars to be released. Does anyone know why they are holding them up and when they are going to be released?

There could be some sort of campaign going on where they have to update software or change out a part before the cars leave port, but check with your dealer just to be sure - he should know (emphasis on "should").

unfortunately all the dealers i have talked to including my own have no idea, which concerns me greatly. our original car (the order got messed up) has been sitting at the port for a few weeks. the dealer thought it was 2009 inventory but that shouldn't hold it for as long as it has. bmw is being quiet about it.

That's disappointing. I've always assumed that the dealer has a financial interest in having your car delivered to you ASAP because he wants your money ASAP. His October numbers will suffer if delivery is delayed until early November, so he should be motivated to get the car to you as soon as he can.

apparently it is not just my dealer. ive been told by numerous people that bmw is holding all the 2010 7's at the nyc port but no one knows why. i confirmed this with several dealers around the area. hope you get your car soon as well.

just got an email from my dealer. apparently the cars are going to be released and delivered to dealerships by weeks end.
