The bricks are tile and the rocks are plaster moulds. About 45lbs of plaster. Took about 24 hrs per 15 lbs not including paint. Still have a ton to do. I have a grandstand planned, but people aren't available in 1:24 so I have to make molds for them from 1:24 models that include bodies. A huge project.

Tell the truth... you pulled those pics up on the computer and took a picture of them with your phone. Amirite? lol

Thanks for posting! I'm intrigued to try a digital track some time.

Love those 917s. We have 5 of them but none in the Gulf livery. Been wanting one for a while!

My only Gulf cars.

Yes I did. I tried 2 different times to go straight from computer but couldn't get it done. Lol. Pics were from camera so a phone pic of a camera pic. BUSTED! I'm supposed to have a Ferrari to match the Porsche. Livery from Daytona '71 I think. I like my cars in US track livery if possible. The 1:24 digital cars are about $70 and there aren't that many available yet. Although you can convert any analog for about $35. I only have 3 ccontrollers so far. The track is hot all the time and the microprocessor controls voltage to the motor. The selection of digital 1:32 is pretty big.

I have a hard time with the 1:32. They are so fast and before I know what happened they're barrel rolling down the track. I haven't tried any digital 1:32. Maybe with the juice turned down they would be more manageable. The track is 18v.

I would love the penske grand sport #001 as I've had it on my lawn in real life. I have a 1:32 GS coupe analog.

Wow, 18v!! I think our power supply only runs up to 14v. We run at 9v to 9.5v. When kids are on the track we'll drop it down to 6v so they can stay on with heavy magnet cars.

Here is a video of the Gulf 89 Aston. It's very well set up and runs very fast on this track. And, i've got upwards of 70k laps on this track. It's probably not the best car to use to counter act your point. lol Most cars run about 2 to 3 sec a lap slower than this one.

No, it's not ok. We both like racing, we both like street bikes, we both like dirt bikes. We HAVE to like this together also!

I hate even describing it to people, especially anyone with track experience because it sounds like i'm full of it. But all the racing dynamics are pretty much the same. Go too deep into the corner with too much brake, back breaks loose. Go into the corner too hot, gonna break loose. Get into the power too soon in a corner and it breaks loose. You have to set the car up with the right balance of magnet (downforce) speed. Too much magnet slows you down, too little magnet makes the car loose and slows you down. Change the tires, change diameter of tires, change gear ratio, weight balance, etc...

What usually happens is the racers and real car guys end up liking it the most even though they turned up their nose at it more than most other people.
