Exclamation Activehybrid7 malfunction?

Car rocks, but today the car stalled on me twice. Once when pulling out of an intersection, second time when commuting in slow traffic.

First time it was scary. Was pulling out and all the sudden car won't accelerate, car was rolling slowly, rpm was like 1200, but I could not feel the engine. Dunno if the engine shut off. Gas pedal wouldn't response at all. Died for like 15 sec. A truck was coming in and I was half way in the middle of the road. Seconds later back to life and I moved along.

Second time 10 minutes later, same thing, embarrassing, I stopped traffic for like 20 sec... Since I was rolling slowly, pulled to the side. Seconds later gas pedal responded and I was again able to pull off.

While pressing the gas pedal I noticed the e-boost hybrid mode in the led panel activating, but there was no response from either the electric or gas engine. Nada.

After that no issues.

If it happens again I am talking it to the dealer to have her checked.

Being one the the very first hybrid7, I am starting to get a little concerned

I wouldn't wait till this happens again! I would be on the phone to my dealership after the first time this happened!!! This is a serious issue that is safety related and needs to be looked after right away!

Sorry to hear the problems with your new ride. I'd contact the dealer right away if I were you to have them check on the car.

umm... if not exaggerating and 100% sure what happened happened, why wait for it to happen again before taking it to the dealer, when your life could be at risk?

I know its not the same car, but same thing happened to my E92 M3 last year. Car kept dying on me for a few seconds; really scary because you never know if its ever gonna happen at an intersection again.

Well, the local dealer took a look at it and found a couple of faulty plug sensors. They changed them and the car was running fine again. It wasn't difficult for them to locate the problem; whatever happened was recorded in the ECU fault code.

Could be the gasoline quality... Today was fine... I am going to wait a couple of days more... I'll be cautious..

to put things into perspective: say you end up in an accident and ultimately sue bmw, etc., should an attorney for bmw read this, there is no doubt in my mind that they will do everything in their power to use the fact that you were on notice of the problem and decided to neglect it to limit liability.

Update: So far no issues... Car runs great!

Suspect it was either bad gas or car needs some time to warm up.
