The only way I'm planning on doing anything right now is to wait for him to be in the front or side yard and run to the back and cover holes and hope he doesn't get there before me. Just because you guys are so in to it...I'm going to try and get a shot or footage if possible...might just go out late tonight and have a look.

I was going to suggest you place a small dish of antifreeze near the hole for him to eat it, but i saw you're not interested in killing an animal.

So with that said, I would look into getting some sort of tubing that you could position at the hole and block all ways other than the way through the tube. The other end of the tube can lead into a cage that will trap him.

So what happens when he catches it in a cage and it uses it's defense mechanism? He gets sprayed. The only logical thing is to get rid of it with coolant or something similar that will separate him completely, otherwise, skunks gonna skunk.

Lol, it smells like potent marijuana until you get too close.

There are cages that are "spray-proof". Basically, it's an enclosed tube that is too low for the skunk to lift his tail to spray.

I only know this because I googled it for this thread. Great way to spend my Friday night.

Weekend warrior. Keep up the good work. I would have just shot it by now to keep the new thread count down.

The aluminum dryer ducting shown above was how I ran "cold air" from a scoop in my Z3s bumper to the Dinan intake. When you hit the gas, you could hear the intake suck in air.

You should read up on skunks defence mechanism. They don't go around spraying all the time.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube showing how to approach a skunk that is in a cage.

So, my 6-year old son is in on this since he was with me in the morning a couple days ago when I saw the skunk walking around in the side yard. I thought, "cool, check out the skunk son." And we stood inside the house and watched through the patio doors. My son was pretty interested.

And the skunk drank out of the fountain and kept walking around back and we watched from the windows inside...and then he went right in the hole under the shed and I was like, "oh shit, that's why he is around, and why I have smelt an odor the past few days-- he lives here."

So, his plan is to stuff whiffle balls in the hole.

No, that's what you use when you want to relocate it to your neighbor's yard. OP was asking for that.

I know they don't just go around arbitrarily spraying, but if it's frightened in a cage, I'd rather not smell like Sex Panther for the next couple weeks.

It's a gamble, like whether you should trust that fart or not. Sure you may squeeze by this time but next time might not be so lucky.

"Accidentally" have a "guy" burn the shed down with some gasoline, and claim it under insurance....

Or, get some of those smoke bombs that people light off on the 4th of July and smoke out the shed.

I did go out in the yard last night with a flashlight but nothing.
Also filled in the hole behind the tuff shed and the side as well....it does smell like skunk inside the shed.

Those are today's updates on this ever popular situation.

Light a few smoke bombs in the mouth of that pipe. That way, the smoke gets channeled into the area without any sparks.
