From my experience, Benz 63's sound and handle way better than the nose heavy 65's. Personally a well optioned SL65 @ $230k wasn't worth the $60k premium over a full optioned SL63 when I was shopping for one.

The sedan market is different from the roadster market though (nose heavy handling is the least of a land-yacht owner's concerns) and IMHO BMW has hit a home run by offering an S65 competitor at the price of an S63. Not many people from the general public can tell an M-sport apart from a proper M so the M760i has that going for it as well.

The 160K M6 Competition Edition we had was sitting for almost a year before it sold.

It will be shown this weekend.

I ordered one for myself just in case and spec'd one for my oncologist's husband for their anniversary.

Only demo car will be at dealers. M760i orders are done at the dealer on request and the client then has a corporate liaison. There are no allocations. I visited a dealership that has built a BMW M and Individual Studio separate from the main showroom yesterday to do a quick run through and submitted the first two orders.

Updated N74B66TU. The Black Badge versions of the Ghost, Wraith, and Dawn Are receiving their own versions of this engine.

It's a lot of car with beefed up components (it has the 950NM ZF so there are no torque limitations in any gear). If it wasn't for the weight reduction measures, it would be far heavier.

The turbos are very small and do not produce a large amount of boost. There is a 680hp/684lb/ft version.

Quicker than all of them, sounds far better, and comes with much more std equipment.
Thanks for the info.
Are you a BMW employee?
No I'm not an employee; consultant and supplier.
I'm still waiting to see if it will trap 125mph+ in quarter mile.

That's a cool car but I prefer chrome trims not fan of matte trim outside the car .Blue accents are reminiscent of E-Drive variants , I'm not sure whether they suit or not about this particular car

Quite similar and almost the same size coincidentally. There won't be any skunkworks cars, but it's a good concept and implementation nonetheless. RR is a separate building, and the BMW store holds 3 brands (Mini turn left at the entrance, BMW go straight (I is a pop up in the middle). For M, turn right.

Minus the adjacent engineering test track?

Prior to ED delivery, I visited the M Studio and tracked an E90 M3 Individual with a rear chassis engineer of same.

Felt I made the wrong decision with the 7 before setting sights on it! HA.

Beginning with this generation, US only gets the LWB 7 series so they dropped the L from the model name.
