Added Daytime Running Lights

Guys,

I just added daytime running lights to my 7 Series M Sport. As you know the M Sport does not have fog lights, so I went ahead and added these DRL's. They look sick, especially at night. More pics to follow..

How are they attached? How do you activate them; did you add an additional switch? And, is that a 2010 or 2011 you have? Your profile states its a 2010, but the chrome on the bumper seems to be blackend as on the 2011s!

They have brackets that attach to the inside part of the mesh. you cant see it unless you look underneath the light. The lights come on when ignition is started. I painted the ugly front chrome pcs that come on the M Sport, as well as amber reflectors on the side.

Curious why you chose to go that route over the DRL's that come with the car?

If that style of LED wasn't so "over used" on a variety of cars from Audi, MBZ, and now Ford it would be more unique. Expecially now since BMW has upgraded the Coronoa Rings to LED, those style of lights have now become seriously obsolete.

Its not horrible and as long as you like it, that's what matters. i just think the general consensus is that it detracts from the originality of the car. Ironically enough, you might of won more fans with Xenon fog lights.
