Welcome Carpet Light

Anyone have any pictures of their 2016/17 Welcome Carpet light they can share. Mine are just a dim light with no visible pattern as shown in ads. BMW said it's normal but I don't believe it. In dark spaces, I can see the outline. I'm thinking the light just needs to be changed out.

Thanks

If you look under the side skirt where the light is coming out from mine was showing the same way but there is a lot of dirt that gets trapped up in there you just need to wipe down the lens

After 9 months of ownership, I can no longer even see the carpet lights anymore. If I bought the car used, I wouldn't even know this feature existed. Maybe it's time to clean off the light lens.

Please pardon the horrendously bad photo, but here's my light carpet.

Thanks! I did think of that but never actually got down below the car and gave it enough attention. I'll do that and see what happens

I'll grab a better pic tonight so you can show the dealer that they are full of crap.

Thanks everyone. This is great! I'll take it to the dealer and tell them to shove it. They should i know better. I'll clean it anyways once I get the car back. It's at their shop for some other items.

As an owner of a G12 for 3 years, I can tell you it does get dirty.

I just traded in and purchased a new one, and it has a much crisper and cleaner light carpet graphic.

Some of that has to do with general road conditions on the projector.

We should start a new thread about PPF wrapping and ceramic coating our carpet light lenses.
