Bring up most recent entry

Help required, when I select a certain thread it always takes me to the first entry first page -unless I select 3 for example if there are three pages, but even then it only takes me to the top of that page.
Question is is there a way in any setting that I can always bring up the most recent entry in any thread I select?

Also is there a way to to set up alert on a Thread I start or add to -so that I get notification of any reply's ?

On the app, select settings and thread and select go to last post.

For notifications on your threads, I think it's on the desktop where you can select under user profile if you want them automatically instantly or once a day, etc.
