2025 Refresh? Have you seen this:……….
I was just reading a review by Motor Trend, written in February of this year. Check out the last sentence of this paragraph:
“Downsides? Yes, it's quite absurd-looking from the front. I've heard dozens of people call the new 7 Series ugly, but to me, that's lazy. The face of this thing is beyond the pale, especially with the pig from Angry Birds grin the M70 version adopts to maintain a visual familiarity with other M vehicles such as the M3 and XM . Humans respond emotionally to the front ends of cars because there's usually something anthropomorphic about them. Headlights as eyes, the badge as a nose of sorts, the grille as a mouth. This thing is, uh, porcinomorphic? BMW is forcing us to invent new words. Think I'm being hyperbolic? A little birdie who's seen it told me the upcoming 2025 refresh is going to look like a totally different car.” Can anyone confirm this? |

Not a chance. There are some AI generated clickbait videos on YouTube, but that’s about all there’s to it. G70 is just a few years old at this point, a refresh so soon is not fiscally viable.
This sounds a lot more plausible: https://www.bmwblog.com/2023/11/02/g...facelift-2026/ |

It's possible I'd say, but I am sure nobody has "seen" this. It's just too early. But the G11/12 LCI was very dramatic as well, so why not. But we won't see anything before the end of 2025.

Its also selling quite well. Sales were very close behind the S Class in 2023, and so far in 2024 its outselling the S Class.

The current almost still new 7 Series is selling quite well. There is no way BMW is doing an LCI for 2025. 2026 at the earliest, but could even be 2027. 2025 could of course bring new colours, wheel choices, maybe leather and some updated driving assistance options...but BMW knows not to alienate and royally piss of 7 Series customers by changing a model that is not barely even 2 model years old. |

LCI’s are done at the 3 year mark to keep 3 year lease guys happy and hungry for something new. Last 7 series LCI was substantial for the last version before this. I’m going to assume this one will be similar. Toned down grill maybe, definitely a digital rear view camera mirror, maybe some standard tweaks that they learned from the first go but the car is pretty perfect in my eyes. But they are not messing with a car that just came out this early. If we believed every rendering on YouTube we’d be waiting a long time for that perfect concept car designed by some dude in his mom’s basement.
