Hi SAMLAMBO,

If i remembered correctly, AC Schnitzer spring is actually the same as Eibach Spring. AC Schnitzer buys lowering spring from Eibach and rebrand it to their own.

Let me know if you are getting one for your F02, I may be getting one too for my ride. =)

I was under the impression that their height drop was different?

I think every tuner buy their spring from the large spring manufacture (Eibach/H&R),
but since they buy in large quantity,
they can ask those spring to be built to their specs.

On Eibach Singapore website,
they also list that they supply Alpina for their springs,
but it is clear the springs for Alpina application had very little drops and different spring rate than regular Eibach Pro Kit.

of course there could be possibility that some tuner are "lazy" and just completely relabel / repaint Eibach spring without further research on their own, and put their tuner brand on it.

that is why, if you can get the spring spec from the tuner and eibach and compare them,
you can see whether they are both 100% the same, or different and decide from there.

Just got off the phone with Eibach and they told me it comes in a set of 4, I told them I only need for the front and they quoted me US$250 about there. CHEAP! i told the girl to check again if it's a set of four or two for my car. Also what she quoted was for the 730d, does the 730d and 730Li use same springs?

Hi Samlambo,
Is the $250 for the price of 2 springs or 4 springs ?
(somehow I suspect that is the price for the 4 springs kit).

By the way this is the part# for 730D (LWB)
and it contain 2 front springs only: E10-20-018-03-20

and this is the part# for 730D (SWB) and 740i (SWB) and this kit contain 4 springs (front and rear): E10-20-018-01-22

so since yours are 730iL, and since 730iL is a 6 cylinder car just like 730D and 740i,
I think their weight is similar,
so Eibach have the same springs for all those application.

The different is since yours is LWB,
and you only need front springs only,
that is why it was listed on 730D.
Apparently for Diesel car LWB, Eibach do not put 730dL as their code on their catalog.

so again this is the correct Eibach Pro Kit
Part# for your 730iL 2 front springs only application: E10-20-018-03-20

just Google the word Eibach E10-20-018-03-20
and you will see many search result showing
their price in UK.

Good Luck

Hi Samlambo,

I just google
and
I see that the price for the 2 springs kit in UK
is almost HALF the price of the 4 springs kit.

I suspect your Eibach Singapore distributor might only stock the 4 springs kit right now,

but

you might want to tell them to order the 2 springs kit for you,
and if you are willing to wait until their next shipment,
I think you could get the 2 front springs kit only
at nearly half the price.

of course the saving is not that much in absolute value, but in percentage it is almost half

Hi SAMLAMBO,

May i ask the reason why you are just installing the lowering spring for the front and not the rear?

Your from Singapore to!
Well they dont sell for the rear, the kit from Eibach which is the pro kit is just for the fronts. Plus the rear already has leveling suspension. However I am in two minds, I want to car to look grand, it might just look to sporty if I lower it and already have the M kit on.

I have been breaking my head over this. My new M from bumper is even lower now to the ground so if I were to lower my ride, I would have to be very careful when taking humps, carparks etc etc..

Guys,
Wouldn't the car being lowered just in front look a bit off? I mean the back high and the front lower, it would be angled going downwards, more slanted lower to just the front?

No, i changed the front and rear springs. I don't have the rear leveling air springs. Those springs only come with the L-versions.

Oh ok no wonder, I am still wondering how the car will look with the front lower than the rear, wonder how the angle will look from the side.....

@SAMLAMBO:

The Li version comes with a self leveling rear suspension system that can be reprogrammed to lower the car, so no need to replace those springs on an Li version!

ok thanks but my main concern is will the front be lower than the rears? Because it would not look nice if it is.

if i am correct, the rear will level itself with the lowered fronts. so, there shouldn't be problem.

thats why its called the self levelling system.

i ordered my ac springs and bmw confirmed i only need to replace the front springs. no need to make any adjustments to the system at all. my car is the F10, but i think the levelling system is the same.

When do you get your springs and are you sure the rear will adjust itself to compensate for the fronts? Can you please check with AC on this? If you dont mind, I just want to be sure.
