You know one thing no one ever mentions or thinks of with all of these newer cars with this "led strips/lighting" running through the interior? The reflections it causes at night. Which is distracting to me as the driver. You can see what I mean from the video image shot.

Is there an option to lower the brightness? I like the effect but I'd rather have it be subtle than in your face. Also those tweeters that look like the milky way galaxy are an awesome touch.

Another example of BMW taking the wrong path.

Thanks for posting, but if I wanted to hang out in a night club, I could just go to a night club. Just what people need while they are driving, a glare from a light show in all of the windows. What function does this BS serve? No function? How about we leave the neon/l.e.d. lighting at Pep Boys and work on some electric steering that does not feel like it belongs in a hybrid Toyota Camry.

my initial impression of these lights made me think along the lines of aftermarket, Fast and Furious, and silly. After getting a 740i as a loaner I can see the Las Vegas, Hollywood, party bus appeal

I personally am a fan of ambient lighting. Meaning you see the light, but you don't necessarily know where it's coming from. This is just not the case lol. It's "IN YOUR FACE" presentation is a bit much IMO.

Totally agree. Those lights would do my head in

Nice but a bit too square looking on the led lights.

THIS.

In my F32 it sometimes is a bit too weak, however it never blinds you or distracts you, and in full darkness its a nicely soft and really deserves the "ambient light" name.

This however looks just aftermarket and a bit Fast & Furious...

Just picked up a new X5. Same lighting although only 1 strip running through interior. I think it's cool but does feel a little aftermarket/cheesy.
Shouldn't be driving and changing lighting.

Bit too tacky for me. Feels like a nightclub.
