7-series (F01) takes to the 'ring for final testing - 7Post

BMW has taken its new 7-series (F01) to the 'Ring for some final tests before
it's reported July 5th unveiling.

Here are images of both the standard and the long-wheelbase versions running in short succession on the track for some nice comparison shots.

Nice shots as usual!

Quick question: You mentioned 07.05 (a saturday) as the release date; I have heard 07.07 (Monday). Just wondering if you have heard that they changed plans?

can't wait for all the info to roll out in a few weeks... wonder what the price increase would be.... I was looking at sonme 08 7s, and they're going off the lot for more than 10k of MSRP. This somewhat surprises me, especially when the 09s haven't even been unveiled.

This is a shitty economy we're in...

looks like the side marker lamps will incorperate the fender plaque design exercise that swivel/pop out when the door is opened like on the concept cs

The cars are going through the Karousel. It puts tremendous compression on the outside suspension and then fully compresses before you actually bottom out exiting it. Harshest thing I have ever done to a car in my life.

They have really made a mistake with the bonnet (hood) shut line running above the grille aka the 6 series.

Why they haven't got it closing across the grill aka 3 series coupe, m5 x6 etc I don't know!!

Disappointing.
