^ it looks like it is tied into the left turn signal, as a blind spot warning system. You can see that the left turn signal is on and the X5 appears in the mirror.

The new 7 uses a new dash technology. It's almost like an LCD display and change change. (I believe there is no markings when the car is shut off. Don't quote me on this, I am not 100% sure) In the day time, it's illuminated as white and amber at night.

It looks sooo good.

I'd place money on the fact that BMW will add in hood creases in about the same spots as those tape strips in the facelift.

The amber gauges have not been deleted

It looks like the blue will be for daytime illumination and amber for the evening. Makes sense.

damn, the more i see this car the more i love it. I think BMW will have a hit on its hands with this, especially if there is a hybrid version. It's like lexus, but better. Perfect! While merc is all brutal and ugly, this is a very nice looking car.

CS concept will be a separate car so this as a ncie luxo barge is perfect. Can't wait to see one with sport pack, in black and with big wheels and shorter wheelbase.. .mmmmmmhhhhmmmm. tasty!

Hate to ask, but where do we think the cupholders are? Just noticed we haven't seen them yet.

Do you think they're in the drawer on the bottom of the center stack? Seems like those would be rather flimsy.

Or is it the large compartment directly in front of the shift lever? The trim on that piece makes it seem as though the compartment opens backwards.

Any thoughts?

You're being too kind. That grill is hideously enormous. Following every other car makers trend of big grills, terrible. I hope that precedent doesn't make its way to the next gen z, 5, and 3 series, it will.

to be fair, the profile of this car looks great, sporty
