New 7-Series Owner

I am officially a 7-Series owner. I was at the dealer getting my M5 serviced for the summer and I saw a demo 7-Series for sale. I have a black 07 M5 and a white 09 X5 4.8i + my 2 kids 3-Series'. I have driven BMW's for years including a a few 7's but I was in an accident a number of years ago and finally I'm recovered enough to get in and out of a sedan, multiple times a day, comfortably.

I have had 4 X5's and I need it to tow my boat, but I am tired of the current X5 design so I kept it and got a 7. The last 7 I had was a 01' 740i Sport, probably my favourite car ever, unfortunately after the accident I was forced to sell it and get a SUV, thank god BMW made the X5.

I got a 2012 black/black 750i X-Drive with the M-Package and pretty much all other options. I saw the car, loved it and I had to have it. I never usually luck out and get the colour combination I want.. but black on black is my favourite.

Looking forward to joining the 7 forums

Hey, congrats. I just got the same car a few days back. Jet Black Msport with most options to replace an X5. Couldn't be happier!

I've had the car almost a month now and I drive it all the time. It is an amazing car, it handles like nothing I've ever driven, it's ultra quiet... wow

I've had mine for about three weeks as well. So far mixed impressions, slightly underwhelming. Granted I came into it from an Audi RS4 and Lexus LS. The 750 so far seems like a compromise: does not handle even nearly as well as an RS4 (the steering is the first thing that makes your roll your eyes), hack it actually does not handle any better than an LS, but it is a lot noisier, much less refined. But all-in-all, it is still a decent car. Just not "wow" by any standard, I'd say.
