I perceive Honda as being too sensible to invest in a RWD platform that too many consumers would incorrectly perceive as a liability instead of an asset. Instead, long ago they put their chips on building a performance AWD system. There apparently pretty good at it... not that I have any experience driving any SH-AWD except a first gen version decades ago.

True. Plus most consumers don't care so as long as they market their FWD sedan as being "sporty" and it looks/feels the part that's all it takes to generate sales.
