I pulled the trigger on a new S580.I'm actually kind of sick about it.I had the first allocation for the LCI at the dealership.But,I just can't do that without seeing and experiencing the car with the completely new and redesigned interior.The interior in the S is pretty sweet and they seemed to have improved build quality.I squeak tested some trim and the seats and console seemed solid.I really don't think I want my information in the line of sight to the road or blocking the view to the front of the car.Guess I'm old and a stick in the mud!The good news is Mercedes is offering a 13 month lease with no strings for those that may want to upgrade to the refreshed S.So I can reassess in a year and actually see the new 7&S designs.My BMW dealership and CA have been fantastic in that they are taking my 760i back 7 months early for what's owed.Good timing with the car just 20k serviced, an alignment,and 6k on tires.Plus, it's cherry.If you want to see the new car check out the '26 S580 review from Gold Pony.19" wheels not the greatest but,at this point,so what. Guess one acceleration run won't hurt it!This will even me out- 7 7 Series and 7 S Classes.
