I think you're wishfully assuming lol. The current 5 and 7 are very similar layouts, I see no reason to believe they are going to be different. The new i3 also has the new layout.
I'm 99% confident we're going to have the slim readout right up at the base of the windshield above the steering wheel vs through it like we have now. They will reduce the height of the dash overall and the readout will be all the way forward by the windshield. Steering wheel will also be smaller and ovular
