Sorry to read that, BUT you didn't take it to an independent for its very first change and I'll bet that the dealer made it right.
I'll chime in with my own story: In 2009, on my very first change for my 2009 E92 M3 6MT, the dealer overfilled the engine. I noticed it on my drive home, made a U-turn and they fixed it quickly while I waited 15-minutes. I've never gone back to that dealer and still drive an hour each way to BMW of Loveland for exceptional service, 17-years later. There was no spillage in my case.
Give a dealer a 1 rating and they beg and grovel like crazy, but I didn't change my rating. For those in the Denver area, the guilty dealer's name starts with S.
Where's a dip stick when you need it?????
