Make sure that it's actually the wipers not the windshield... I've had similar issue when I had a Tesla in the past... replaced the wipers twice and same issue.
It turned out that one of the new car-wash foam that I've been using then causes a film to build on the windshield and I needed to clay my windshield and it solved all issues.
With 1000 miles and less than 1 year ownership, I'd make sure first it's actually the wipers.
If you try new wipers that are not OEM, please post/share the brand and item number. If yours as new, you might be able to get new wipers at no charge for the 1st 3 years. My service advisor told me that they will replace wipers as well as AC filter at no charge to me for the next 3 years under the free/standard BMW maintenance plan. Same for all my previous BMWs recently.. never paid for new wipers or filters during the 1st 3 years; or oil change for ICE cars.
