They are silencer boxes on top of cold air intake. They are integral parts of the big, light, plastic intake tubes going from the grill to the air filter boxes. They don't have any fasteners and are only held in place by clipping to plastic brackets in front and plastic air box in the back. Mine are a bit loose too as I can never get them fully inserted to the connectors in the front (about 2mm short of engaging the clip).
