my 750 also warms up much faster than my previous vehicles (Lexus and Acura); I attribute it to 1) the active shutter, which BMW claims help shorten warm-up time; and 2) the tremendous amount of heat generated by the turbocharged "hot-v" V8. I haven't timed it, but my impression is that it's up to operating temp within two minutes.
