Speaking of Mercedes ISG, there are rumors they'll begin using a 400V version of the system in some applications which would essentially evolve it from MHEV to HEV.
Klaus Fröhlich acknowledged back in early 2019 that BSG is pre mature and BMW will instead opt for integrated solution when introducing 48V. However, BMW ate its words, launching a bunch of new models last year with the very disapointing BSG 48Vs, including the newest B58.

ISG is the so called 2nd generation of 48V tech and will eventually be mass used as the best none plug-in hybrid option.
