Some feedback. I had my 750ixdrive in Bimmex here in Toronto
They replaced the valve seals, carried out the walnut blasting, and during the reassembly they replaced all cooling hoses on the engine and cleaned all the injectors ( which had already been replaced several years ago under the CCP)
The walnut blast was 2,000 Cdn $ Total cost for the engine work parts and labour 7800. My third party warranty covered 4,000 of the 7,800
Picked up the car yesterday. Drives absolutely like a new car. My guess is acceleration up by 30% and the engine much quieter Milage is 152,000 km or approx 90,000 miles Prior to the repair work my oil consumption was not that bad. One quart every 700-900 miles. Only had the blue smoke after long idle. BMW Toronto The dealer recommended a total engine replacement at cost of 22,000 c$. There is no class action suit up here unlike in the US.
