It is a really good sounding combo. The most critical piece that i recommend to everyone is the AUDIOCONTROL line output converter. This is what will take the signal from the factory amplifier and convert it to a useable signal for your sub amplifier of choice.
What makes the Audio Control piece unique is that it can handle 400 watts rms of input per channel totalling 800 watts between 2 channels. Critical as the BMW equipped amplifier is very powerful and will distort most adapters at high volumes. Keep the bass dropping. |
Im thinking of doing the same in my gran coupe 640. Where do you suggest i source these:
1x Audio Control LCi2 Line Converter
1x JL Audio XD1000/1 v2
1x JL Audio W7 12" in custom ported box
All 4gauge power Connections W/Safety Fusing
Also, im in Dc. Are you close by? I assume not but worth asking. I would love to learn how to install this.
