We shouldn't blame the car. MOST of us would be sensitive when (or even disgusted if) somebody picked their noses or yawned in front of us, right?

But seriously, BMW certainly wants to err on the side of caution and not be blamed for an accident due to inattentiveness. But at some point the level of restriction can certainly negate the featured convenience.
